Martin Luther King National Day of Service 2012 in Richmond, California is coordinated by Urban Tilth in collaboration and partnership with the following community organizations, local businesses and National Agencies: City of Richmond, Alpha Kappa Alpha!, Communities United Restoring Mother Earth (CURME), Community Rejuvenation Project (CRP), Daud Abdullah, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, Friends of the Richmond Greenway, Iron Triangle Neighborhood Council, Malik Seneferu, Pogo Park, the realRICH, Rich City Rides, The Watershed Project, World ONE (keCg) radio, US Forest Service and all of the individual volunteers who come out – rain or shine – to honor the life of Dr Martin Luther King Jr through service!

MLK DAY Richmond welcomes the collaboration of the CRP team offering up a community mural project, Daud Abdullah offering another amazing community based mosaic offering and MALIK Seneferu bringing a magical, rooted community based art project for this year’s MLK DAY on the Richmond Greenway!
This year we will build our market stand, plant our spring gardens and more trees in the Edible Forest, rebuild the CURME Medicinal Garden, build new or repair old garden beds, make sign and art other projects
