We provide customized, interactive workshops for staff and members of organizations engaged in urban organizing to provide some of the core content of our strategic retreats. We also connect organizations to other training opportunities that advance our mission of bringing ecological literacy and analysis to urban organizing in communities of color. Our trainings and workshops are provided by staff, program committee members and a growing core of retreat participants developing their skills. Trainings are currently available in English and Spanish. If you are interested in a training, please contact us.
Through our strategic retreats, workshops, and trainings, we have developed a body of interactive curriculum that engages the analytical, political, personal, emotional, physical, and social skills of the participants. We have made some of these resources publicly available to you. For further curriculum resources, please contact us.
“Movement Generation provided PILA with key support in the curriculum design and implementation of our 2008 Grassroots Leadership Gathering, an annual convening we host for member-leaders from regional immigrant rights organizations. Movement Generation has promoted a crucial conversation exploring the interactions of immigration, ecology, and the economy.”
